Villa Four

Number of bedroom: 1
District of Bali: Seseh Village, Tabanan
Total of living area: 90 m2
Total area of ground: 300 m2

Villa Four is a one-bedroom villa comprised of a semi-open air living and dining pavilion leading into a bedroom complete with an en-suite garden bathroom. There is also an elevated relaxation pavilion and a swimming pool.

The villa is entered via a set of double antique doors; white Palimanan stepping stones will then bring guests past an ornamental pond fed by four water spouts.

The living and dining pavilion is open on three sides and features a soaring ‘alang alang’ thatched roof supported by coconut wood pillars above a cream terrazzo floor. Ceiling fans and gentle breezes keep this area cool; it is furnished with a turquoise-cushioned sofa and chairs, boat-shaped lamps, and a glass topped circular table. The pavilion also integrates an open-plan kitchenette, for the use of the guests on those occasions when they might not require waiter/waitress service from the main Tamu Seseh service-kitchen. The kitchenette is located behind a terrazzo bar and is complete with a gas hob, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. Inside the fitted cupboards, guests will also find a stereo CD/cassette player.

The air-conditioned bedroom is accessed from the living area and features a cool terrazzo floor, a canopied queen-size four-poster bed; and a satellite TV and DVD player; ceiling fans provide additional comfort. A fitted cupboard houses a safe deposit box, a chest of drawers and ample hanging space. Local artwork adorns the walls and boat-shaped lamps illuminate the pitched roof. Double doors lead into the en-suite garden bathroom, which is bordered by mature trees including a holy fig tree in one corner. Double washbasins with freestanding circular mirrors rest on upon terrazzo washstands, and are sheltered by the eaves of the roof and garnished with mother of pearl sea shells. The bathroom also features a terrazzo tub set upon a raised Palimanan stone platform; stepping stones lead across loose pebbles to an outdoor rain shower, and the toilet is hidden in a recess.

The walled garden is characterized by a flat lawn with two pool loungers and an umbrella beside an 8 x 4 meter swimming pool. A water spout emanates from an ornamental stone carved relief. Six stone steps lead from the pool area up to a raised balé relaxation pavilion with a thatched roof and two built-in cushioned sofas. From here, guests will be treated to magnificent view of rural Bali, towards the crashing white surf of the Indian Ocean.
